Viscosity

Viscosity of a product being pumped and dispensed needs to be considered when selecting lubrication equipment and system design.

Viscosity is the measure of a fluid’s resistance to flow - this changes with temperature. The colder the ambient temperature the more viscous (or resistant to flow) a product will become, compared to the same product in a warmer environment.

When selecting lubrication equipment and system design, the viscosity of the fluid is considered to ensure desired flow is delivered at the dispensing point(s).

Elements that contribute fluid flow include:

Whether you need to pump gear oil 680 or 0w20, when working with Tecalemit we can design a system that factors in the above seven elements to ensure best-in-class performance can be achieved.
